NormaTec Recovery Boot
The NormaTech boots were founded by a physician bioengineer (MD & PhD), who recognized the powerful potential of external dynamic compression and its crucial role in healing and recovery. The concept is centered on using external compression to aid the body with its normal circulatory process. NormaTech has found a way to advance the compression process by using three distinctive massage techniques to help speed up the body’s normal recovery process. The first technique is the pulsing action. Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, the boots pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.

The second massage technique the NormaTech boots utilize is the gradient hold pressures to keep the body’s fluids from being forced down toward your feet by the pulsing action in proximal zones. Last is the distal release technique. This is where the boots will release pressure as quickly as possible to ensure that each portion of the limb gain maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.
