At Elite Performance Chiropractic we have all of the cutting edge physical modalities and we take full advantage of them. Very rarely will your visit consist of an adjustment only.

The EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) is used for muscle training and/or pain management. This is one of the most common machines used in Chiropractic offices. The EMS will pulsate the muscles through electrodes causing contraction and nerve flow simulating active exercise. EMS can help pain management by causing the bodies natural pain killers, endorphins and enkephalins, to be released which help aide in muscle relaxation and decrease in pain and inflammation.

Ultrasound is a wand like instrument that sends waves deep into the joint or muscle helping to break down scar tissue and helps to stimulate blood flow to the area to accelerate healing. Treatment time is typically 5 minutes. It is used to treat a variety of different injuries. A few examples are the following: back pain, tendonitis, muscle spasms, strains/sprains, rotator cuff syndrome, iliotibial band syndrome and plantar fasciitis.

Chiropractors may alternate between heat and ice therapy depending on the patients injury. Treatment time usually lasts between 10-15 minutes. Ice massage is used and is highly effective for injuries like tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.

It was super easy to come in and get set up as a new patient. I’ve had a lot of chiropractors in my lifetime and Dr Miller and EPC is easily my favorite. I enjoy the friendly and positive atmosphere every time I come in here. I feel Dr Miller genuinely listens to my concerns and pains and is proactive with treatment to improve my injuries.
